What did you think of SNL in HDTV?

Did you catch it in HDTV for the first time on Saturday? Phillip Swan over at TVPredictions gave a detailed write-up,
but we're looking for your thoughts. Did the high-def presentation add any extra "zing" to SNL for you? Was it just me or did anyone else note the complete lack of jokes about high-definition television?

Swan pointed out the sweat above Steve Carell's lip right from the show's opening monologue as well as Rachel Drach's contact lenses. OK, Swanni: we're HD-addicts too, but fixating on the outlines of contact lens is a bit much. Even for us.
