Oct 5: What's on HDTV today

What we're watching
:

Ok, now that NBC switched the time slot for E-Ring, I can catch it at 8 p.m. in 1080i and finally catch that other show on ABC
at 9 p.m. in 720p. Crap, I forget the name of the show. What was it...."Moss?" No, that's not it. Is it "Last?" Oh well, I'm sure someone will shoot a comment and remind me what it's called. Don't forget the live chat 30 minutes before the show over at TVSquad.

Hey, the puck drops on several channels, too! INHD
carries the OLN-HD feed of the Flyers vs. Rangers at 7 p.m. If you're New Yorkers and not a Ranger fan, you can watch the mono-sodium glutamate channel (MSG) for the Islanders vs. the Sabres at the same time. Finally, HDNet covers the "Great One's" coaching debut as Gretzky brings the Coyotes up north to battle the Canucks at 10 p.m.

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.

Here are some other HDTV programs showing on selected networks today. All times are Eastern:
