Oct 6: What's on HDTV today
What we're watching: I'm going to run the batteries down on my remote with all of the surfing I plan to do tonight. I'm starting off with "Everybody Hates Chris" on UPN at 8 p.m. in 1080i. UPN just bought 9 more episodes of the show, so I'll take another look. After "Chris", the pre-game MLB festivities should be over so I'll hit Fox for Game 2 of the playoffs between the "Astros and the Braves." in 720p.
The seventh-inning stretch should coincide with the start of "E.R." at 10 p.m. on NBC
in 1080i. Normally I don't watch the show; I stopped a few years ago because it just started stressing me out. How do those doctors work it day-in and day-out? Tonight I'm tuning in to see the debut of Kristen Johnston as yet another crabby nurse manager. Having only seen her in comedy ("Third Rock from the Sun"), this should be interesting....and stressful. Anyone have some spare AA's for my remote?
