Battle.net gets a makeover

We were just about to post an article contemplating the meaning of the pictured ASCII art, which recently replaced Blizzard's image slideshow from earlier in the day, but moments ago Blizzard revealed the
mystery behind its cryptic Battle.net introduction page: a completely redesigned Battle.net, "Blizzard's tournament portal for all Battle.net-enabled titles."

Battle.net also unveiled a Mod Support page "to give proper credit to talented map makers and to support the mod community." Naturally, the first map one notices on the page is the ever-popular Defense of the Ancients All Stars. While not a new Diablo or Starcraft announcement, this is still pretty big news as Battle.net has not had a makeover for a long time. What do you think of its new layout? And, better yet,
any idea as to what creature the ASCII art is supposed to portray? It's creepy, whatever it is.
