Garmin StreetPilot 2720 reviewed

We liked the Garmin StreetPilot 2720 when we checked it out a couple of months ago, and it looks like PC Magazine agrees. Chief among their fave features is something you won't find in too many other GPS units: text-to-speech conversion, so that it can tell you the names of the streets you're approaching, instead of just mouthing anonymous "turn right in 300 feet" directions. With a street price of over
$800, the 2720 isn't a bargain model, but if you've ever cursed your GPS in frustration when its directions at a three-way intersection proved just a little too cryptic, it may just be worth the price.
