Creative Zen Sleek reviewed
Those non-Apple-fanboys over at Anything But iPod have posted a hands-on review of the stylin'
Creative Zen Sleek. You know, that 20GB MP3 player with FM tuner (with recorder), voice recorder, and WMA PlaysForSure support all in a package that is both smaller and lighter than the 20GB iPod. They gave the player high marks for it's nigh
scratch-proof design, the tactile controls instead of those too-touch sensitive buttons on the Zen Micro, easy to use interface, and "very good" sound quality. On the downside, the Sleek relies on Microsoft's Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) making this an XP only device, uses a proprietary USB cable, and the non-removable battery only lasted about 10 to 12 hours which is well short of the (up to) 18 hours claimed. All in all, a hot little box.
