eBay: No stun guns for New Yorkers

If you live in New York and want to pick up a second-hand stun gun, you can forget about shopping for it on eBay. The auction service has struck a deal with New York State Attorney General Elliot Spitzer to kill any stun gun sales in which the buyer lives in the Empire State. Ebay has also agreed to contact sellers of stun guns, which are illegal in New York and seven other states. Spitzer's agents conducted an investigation of eBay, in which they were able to pick up 16 stun guns from 16 different sellers, using New York shipping addresses. Taser for sale from a midtown Manhattan location, on the popular service, in which eBay has a 25% stake.
