Oblivion will not launch with the 360, after all
Last Friday, we
reported that Peter Hines, Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing, had confirmed the next Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will arrive in stores the same day as Microsoft's Xbox 360. Now, that date has been pushed back a week or two,
likely early December, so that Bethesda can fine-tune the game some more, or possibly add a few more hours of gameplay to an already 200-hour experience. GameStop and
EBGames have also moved back their release date to December 5th.
According to Hines himself, "Our official release date is still holidays this year. Nothing's changed" – so either his initial statement was misinterpreted or just wishful thinking on his part. Will an extra week of waiting affect your decision to buy the console on launch date?
