AOpen shipping first Blu-ray drives next month?

We'll save you the standard caveat preamble about buying first gen devices—you're early adopters, you know the score—but it looks like as early as late next month residents of the Middle East will be able to get their hands on AOpen made Blu-ray drives—beating out even
NEC on being first to market with mass-production Blu-ray drives. No word on whether they're DVD backward compatible, single or dual-layer, or record Blu-ray discs (or where you're even going to find any media), but rest assured, for an unknown, undoubtedly ungodly sum of money you too can be the first kid on your block with a Blu-ray drive.
