Sony's new Vaio AX series notebook
Sony has just announced the successor to their popular A series notebook, the new 17-inch, 8.8-pound VGN-AX570G.
Powered by a 1.8 GHz Pentium M, and running Windows Media Center Edition 2005, the new
Vaio will sport two 80GB hard drives, and improves on its predecessor by making the TV tuner hot-swappable with the dual-layer DVD-burner module. Graphics-wise, the AX570 will rock an ATI Mobility Radeon X700 card, XBRITE screen, and built-in VGA webcam. The only downside here, besides the
$2000 pricetag, seems to be the stingy battery life, which Sony is claiming to be a little over an hour (and if that's on the spec sheet, you know real world performance is really gonna be hurtin').
