iTunes Music Store Australia?

Is it finally going to happen? According to this post at the AppleTalk Australia Forums, the worldwide head of the iTunes Music Store as well as the worldwide head of iPod Marketing will appear in Australia at a major briefing on Tuesday, organized by Apple Australia. As forum poster Disko says, "...it's hard to imagine the head of iTMS flying from the US to Australia for any other reason than the announcement of iTMS Australia."

The launch of an Australian iTunes Music Store has eluded Mac-toting Australians for quite some time now. To our friends down under: We're keeping our fingers crossed for you!
