iVeZeen turns your webcam into a digital camcorder

Imagine you want to create a quick, no-frills video of the kids to send off to your far-flung relatives and friends. The kind of thing for which dragging out the DV camera, exporting your footage into iMove and compressing the carefully edited result seems like overkill (and too much of a hassle). If you're in this situation, and you've got a webcam, check out iVeZeen. More after the jump.

Use iVeZeen's simple interface (and we mean simple...there's one single button,
labeled "Record") and list of preset recording options to create videos with your webcam. Choose from No Compression (640x480), iMovie PAL (DV
Stream), web and email optimization, even a new iPod-friendly setting.

What's more, you can set iVeZeen to begin recording when it detects motion, or via a voice command or Applescript (if that one button interface is too tricky for you). iVeZeen requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later (10.4 is recommended) and QuickTime 6.4 or later (QuickTime 7 is recommended).
The website notes that while the Apple iSight is fully supported, you may not be able to make use of all the features with other IIDC,
firewire or USB cameras. iVeZeen costs $14.95US.
