new LaVie T LT900/ED notebook may be just what the high-def doctor ordered. Want hardware-based MPEG-2 decoding? Got it. Need NEC's "Sound VU" technology that turns the entire LCD panel into a speaker? Got it.
Must have the HD VISITAL engine and an HD tuner? Got it. Have to have 160GB of hard disk storage in your laptop? Got it.

Want it delivered to you in the United States? You don't "got it." Looks like the new NEC is only available in Japan; yet another reason we've just applied for dual-citizenship there. C'est la Vie!
