Jobs named one of America's top leaders
Don't get your "vote for Jobs" tshirts out of the closet just yet, but the latest issue of US News & World Report has named Steve Jobs as one of America's Top 25 Leaders. The list was created by an independent committee of judges assembled by the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government (say that three times fast), and doesn't seem to be ranked (everyone's a winner!). Those few and fortunate who made the list: "all share a clearly articulated vision, measurable results, and, in the words of one management guru, Big Hairy Audacious Goals." Short bios and back-stories accompany everyone on the list, and it's an interesting read if you have a few minutes, as everyone from Sergey (Google) to Oprah to the guys who mapped the human genome are right up there next to our favorite CEO in a turtleneck.
