iTheater to be Released December 23rd

Christmas is coming two days early! A group of Macintosh developers has been working on an open source home theatre media center project called iTheater Mac Media Center. They've announced that their first release candidate will be available on December 23rd of this year.

This is exciting; I've been wanting something like this for more than a year. The iTheatre Project will allow you stream video, music, and photos to your entertainment center from any Mac on your home network.

They've set up a blog, a wiki, and a forum for tracking news and feedback and to facilitate collaboration. There's some great information here.
