The official launch date isn't until October 31st, but it looks like HP's new
hw6515 iPAQ Mobile Messenger just turned up for sale on Cingular's website. There's a good chance you have the specs memorized by now — quad-band GSM /
GPRS / EDGE, Bluetooth, SD, miniSD, integrated GPS, a 3-inch, 240 x 240 pixel LCD touch screen, a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, 128MB of memory — but it's hard to imagine anyone throwing down $450 for this thing (that's with a two year service agreement) given that the
hw6715, which has built-in WiFi and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 rather than Windows Mobile 2003SE, is already well on its way.
