iDogs go pink and blue

We still don't get the appeal of
the iDog — but then we aren't really into pets of any kind, live, robotic or quasi-musical. But apparently there's enough demand for the plastic pooch with a speaker where its heart should be that Sega is rolling out pink and blue versions. The pink one is being marketed as the "Lovely Version," which we suppose makes sense, while the blue one is the "Happy Version." Looks like the meaning of "feeling blue" doesn't cross cultures all that well. We assume that, if these ever break out of their Japanese kennels, the branding — and possibly even the color schemes — will be tweaked at least a little.
