Hitachi: where did your profits go?

You gotta love earnings season. It's the one time of the year when all of the company rhetoric goes away and the numbers tell the story. Too bad it's not a good story for Hitachi.
Revenues were up 2% for the year at a shade over $39 billion, but profits...well, I guess Hitachi forgot how important they are too.

Turns out that profits are down big time.
A year ago net profit of $351 million is now a $97 million dollar loss.
The culprit according to Hitachi: a 16% decline of sales in the electronic device area; the display unit, in particular. That's worth repeating: the display unit isn't helping Hitachi's cause. In a time where sales are growing. Big time.

Somethings not right in UltraVision-land;
they need some "UltraProfits" and fast! We're doing our part. We took Hitachi's black logo and used it over the red one. Maybe that will help them out of the red and into the black. Don't mention the assist, Hitachi.
