Wu-Tang thinks differently

Wu-Tang, the original, is actually down to three members: GZA, The RZA, and U-God. But their new album, "Think Differently" guest-stars a bunch of underground artists. Personally it didn't make me Think Differently at all. I'm more partial to Danger Doom's new album.

The only reason I even bring it up is, as you can see, the logo on the front of the album. Unfortunately, as an album I agree with Keri Carlson's review. The album's disparate themes and rhymes remind me of the sprawling Performa line, actually.  I don't agree with Carlson's statement: "As much as 'Think Differently' preaches the independent attitude, the Macintosh logo on the cover distracts. 'Think Different' might be Apple's motto, but using the rainbow-striped apple only makes the album seem like an advertisement." I think it's an homage to a different era. One where the original Wu-Tang was intact, and one where people really were encouraged to Think Differently. Besides, Apple's logo hasn't looked like that in a while. At this point, it's more likely to confuse the average iPod owner...
