What we're watching

It's opening night in the NBA and there are two games in high-definition tonight! Both are on TNT-HD in 1080i, which is a little surprising. One of the games features the Dallas Mavericks; due to Mark Cuban's ownership of them and of HDNet, I expected to see them on his channel. That's OK Mark, I'll watch anyway: Go Mavs!

The season tips off with a preview special on TNT-HD at 7 p.m. At 8 p.m., it's the Nuggets at the Spurs. Didn't San Antonio win it all last year? Following the first game, it's the Mavericks at the Suns at 10:30 p.m. in Arizona. These two teams were in the top three for points scored last year, so it should be a high-def barn-burner!
