Sensible Soccer slated for a 2006 sequel

According to an interview with Jon Hare, the designer and producer for the popular top-down footy game of old, "an all-new 'mid-priced' Sensible Soccer" will launch in Europe for the PS2, Xbox, and PC by Easter 2006.

Whether it will be released in North America to challenge FIFA and Winning Eleven (aka Pro Evolution Soccer in Europe) is currently unknown, but there won't be online play.
