Cingular (finally) releases LG's CE500 musicphone

So if we're any judge of time, today has officially been the longest day ever. Way back in July we brought you some info about LG's CE500 musicphone (or the
M4300, as it's known in Korea) and claimed that it was probably going to be released by Cingular that very same day. Well here it is, over three and a half months later, and July 13th, 2005 can officially be closed in the record books, as Cingular, LG, and Best Buy have all gotten together to begin selling the CE500. A hundred bucks (with two-year contract, naturally) gets you a rockin'
flip phone with dual-displays, VGA videocam with flash and burst, EDGE data, and MP3 playback (64MB TransFlash card included). Not too bad for the price, and we can't say we're sorry to finally put this day behind us, and we vow to never again make spurious predictions (yeah right).

[Thanks, Dave]
