No HD Slingbox in the works

Engadget just posted a story about the rumors regarding the next generation Slingbox;
looks like they were greatly exaggerated. So I guess this means that we will not be getting a high-def version of the modern marvel like all of us hoped.

That is too bad because I really do think there would be a market for one. Many of the shows that are worth watching might get missed are in HD. Most people that would buy this little guy would not watch Home Improvement reruns via it but rather prime-time shows and most of them are in HD. We've been watching the HD trailers over at Apple by now, (if you haven't, check them out) so streaming high-def is possible. But then again most people don't have the sheer bandwidth available that Apple does ether.

Maybe if we ever get the bandwidth of Korea or Japan then we would see a new Slingbox.
