An affordable real time h.264 transcoder?

No price listed though, so I guess that means "affordable" if you're a multibilliondollar telco or production house, I better let the folks over at Luxist know, encoders are the new bling.  Media Excel Inc.  announced this as a part of their end to end system with their media server and set top boxes to let their customers roll out IPTV services with high definition, streaming and VOD capabilities quickly and (relatively) cheaply.

Live video, MPEG files, digital broadcasts, whatever just plug in this box and you've got h.264 compressed and ready to output, maybe to one of those network enabled LCD panels you just put in a forged purchase order for. Then you can look down on all the normal people with their mere, not-even-HD-capable Slingboxes.
