Get your PDP while you can

Everyone loves plasmas. They're the best selling big screen TV and Christmas is just around the corner. However, this time next year we might be singing a different tune. Plasmas will still be the best selling set,
but there might be a shortage of them. DisplaySearch
is projecting a shortage of PDPs by the fourth quarter of 2006 and the blame is on four production lines that are being shutdown.

Let's say you are not everyone and you do not love plasmas; then I have good news for you buddy. This shortage is going to create a demand for larger LCDs, which will cause the price of them to drop. So if you have been holding out on that big boy 45-incher by Sharp you may want to wait for Christmas next year.

Then again, that's a long time to wait for a TV...
