in your life before the launch of the 360, you can now visit the official game's web site and download the first chapter of eight podcasts for your listening pleasure.

There, you'll be treated to over 5 minutes of narration about the backstory to Rare's transformational game, which brings up more than one Lord of the Rings cliche, such as a "bloody war" that lasted a thousand years.

We'll determine whether the story will be an integral part of the long-developed game or not soon enough, but if you're out of things to listen to on your iPod, you could give the British-sounding voiceover actor on this recording a try.
