Panasonics new plasma records to SD cards

Not much gets past us, but a few times a year we blink and happen to miss something. Last time it was a light sensor on a Sony's new LCDs that automatically adjusts the brightness in relation to ambient light in the room. This time it's the 65-inch Panasonic plasma that was just released on the 1st of November: the new set can record programs onto an SD card. It allows users watch one program and record another  on the SD card.
This way you can watch the MPEG-4 quality later on the big set or take it on the road in a portable device. I'm assuming that you'd want to watch it on a little screen 'cause it sure isn't going to be pretty on the big one.

This set first made news back in late August when Panasonic announced that it would have a price of under $9,000 which sharply [pun intended] undercuts Sharp's $15,000 65-inch LCD. Plus, the Panasonic can record to SD cards...what more can a guy want?
