40-inch LCD won't be mainstream until 2007

Large-screen TVs are making their way into American homes at a quicker rate. Flat panels are becoming more popular and larger LCDs are becoming common.
40-inch and larger LCDs however, won't be mainstream till 2007.
Drop in at any brick and mortar store and you'll be hard pressed to find more then three LCDs larger then 40-inches, even though they are surrounded by dozens of 42-inch plasmas. Two LCD producers are predicting that the large LCD market is, in-fact, going nowhere till 2007.

Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) and Tatung are two of the biggest LCD manufacturers worldwide, so when they say something;
the industry listens. They're going to start focusing their attention on the 32-inch segment and then working their way to the bigger sizes.
The 40-inch segment is slated to be in full swing by the first quarter of 2007 when 7.5-generation plants open up.

Are you willing to wait till 2007 to get a big LCD?
