Sanyo to get out of plasmas

Did anyone know that Sanyo made plasma? Well, I didn't and apparently they are going to stop. If you check out their website
they already have their HD plasma labeled as out of production leaving a ED set to stand alone. The reason for their retreat from making plasmas is due to low profit margins. You see, Sanyo buys their panels from outside sources, and then assembles them in-house.

The company is in rough times right now and need to slim down. They are the fourth worse stock on the Nikkei 225 Stock Average. (Japans stock market) They announced in July that they are going to cut 14,000 jobs over three years.
