Virgin unveils Red Pass subscription music store for $8 a month

As expected, Yahoo! recently bumped up the pricing scheme for
their music store subscription service, leaving the cheap skates in the dark for a way to (legally) fill up their PlaysForSure audio players with sweet sweet DRMed content. Well not for long, Virgin is filling in the gap with their new Red Pass music store,
offering up 2 million songs from the MusicNet libraries, and bringing the goods in the good ol' US of A. It's $8 a month, with no contract required to score the price, and if you let your subscription expire, they'll restore your songs if you sign back up, and will even restore your purchased tracks if you lose them somehow.
