1UP has posted a fascinating comparison between the launches of the forthcoming Xbox 360 and the ill-fated Sega Dreamcast. There are 23 points of comparison, here are some of the best:

  • Launching a year before its competition
  • Emphasizes online connectivity
  • Peter Moore head of marketing
  • Sleek, white console following bulky, black console
  • Strange, swirly logo

For fairness, they finish with a list of the 10 things the 360 is doing right that the Dreamcast didn't.
