Realmac Software releases Rapidweaver 3.2
Realmac Software today introduced Rapidweaver 3.2, the latest version of its WYSIWYG web editor for Mac OS X. I've been using Rapidweaver since version 1.0, and I like it very much. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to create a website that you truly will be happy with, you should check out Rapidweaver. More after the jump.
When you first launch Rapidweaver, you select the theme you wish to use
(you can have different themes for different pages). The default themes it ships with are pretty nice, and many inexpenisve third party options are also available. Next, choose the type of page you'd like to create (blog, photo album, contact, file sharing,
movie gallery and more). Photo galleries are integrated with iPhoto,
and display the photos in a selected album. Here's what I do: Create a smart album in iPhoto that displays photos that match a certain keyword and rating, taken within the last 14 days. That way, your photo galleries auto-update. New in version 3.2 is the option to create flash photo galleries instead of html. A simple click takes care of everything.
There's also podcasting support (including video,
customizable iTunes tags and RSS), live PHP support, custom CSS editing and a lot more. Plus, all sites validate as strict XHTML. Rapidweaver requires Mac OS 10.3.9 and a single license will cost you $32.95US
(version 3.2 is a free upgrade for registered users of version 3.0).
