Zanetti Studio and HP working to bring audio to photographs
Zanetti Studio is working on a Speeky brand of products which will tag our images with sound. The Speekysmart photo printer attaches a Speakpaper magnetic strip to the side of a photograph storing a few seconds of audio from the moment the photo was taken. An 11-inch magnetic strip currently records about 4-5 seconds of audio with a 15 second version in the works. At the moment, a mouse-like reader plays back the audio with future plans to incorporate the technology into cellphones. Turns out HP is also working on a similar system they announced in September. Hmmm, let's see Italian startup vs. world-renowned printer nabobs, who's going to bring a solution to mass market acceptance first?
