iPod shuffle as tape drive for old sk00l Amstrad
Our boy Eliot over at HackADay dug up this tasty little use for an iPod shuffle. HackADay reader sbeam (aka Peter Boné) wrote up a simple way to get a clean read of a tape for a casette driven computer:
- Grab a tape version of your file (.cdt or .tzx)
- Convert to .wav with PlayTZX
- Transfer said .wav files to your iPod Shuffle (or other iPod)
- Attach a cassette adapter
- Plug cassette end into your Amstrad or other tape reader
This is super yummy. What a simple way to make sure you have the cleanest tape recording possible!
