The Samsung YP-U1

If that special someone still hasn't succumbed to the draw of the
iPod shuffle, you might consider substituting a Samsung YP-U1 in its place. Almost the same size as the shuffle, but the U1 includes a display (so you can actually see what you're listening to), a fold-out USB port (so there's no cap to lose), and PlaysForSure support so you can follow up with a
Napster To Go,
Rhapsody To Go, or
Yahoo Music Unlimited subscription as a stocking stuffer. Oh, and we shouldn't forget the U1's dashingly good looks, which should help you forget that shuffles still don't come in black— all at a price about the same as Apple's offering.
