European Pac-Man champion crowned

Celebrating the popularity of retro games on mobile phones, Namco have been running a Pac-Man championship in Europe for the last three months, in which gamers across the continent battled it out to get the highest score in their country.

The five fastest fingers—and attached gamers—then competed on real Pac-Man arcade machines to win the coveted prize of... a Pac-Man arcade machine. Plus a t-shirt, by the looks of it. Not exactly in the same league as
FPS pro gaming, but a nice reward nonetheless.

In case you're sitting in suspense, wondering which country has the most mercurial muncher—the promptest pill-popper—we'll tell you: the Netherlands. The crazy cruncher, Fazli Kandemir, is pictured right.
