Fantasy world created by gamers in less than a week

We've already seen gamers go to great lengths this week to get their hands on the Xbox 360, but others have been working on a rather different project. Inspired by some sparse comments made by
Penny Arcade's Tycho, an entire fantasy world has been created, along with its franchising and fandom—even down to the theme tune
of the American "re-imagining" of the original Japanese TV series.

Over 1,600 articles have been contributed to the fan-maintained wiki,
creating a fantasy world to parody the often-weak fantasy settings found in many games. The saga—ELotHTES for short—even has its own MMORPG.
It's an excellent and diverting exercise in parody and gamer creativity.
