DDR Mario Mix potentially discontinued

Everyone's favourite plumber and a dance mat—it was sure to be a hit. Except, inexplicably, the game
DDR Mario Mix appears to have suddenly been discontinued. Posters on Nintendo's offical forums
and
elsewhere bring word that problems with the dance mat production have caused Nintendo to withdraw the game—this is backed up by the rising prices it's fetching on eBay and Amazon.com.

No confirmation from Nintendo yet, but we'll keep you posted. It's surprising that a popular holiday title would be discontinued without good reason, but it might be only temporary.

[Update: Nintendo have confirmed that this is a false rumour: according to a Nintendo representative, "This is definitely not true".]
