Blu-Ray capacity: where's the beef?

Folks must really not know what to do with all of that high-capacity storage space that Blu-Ray has been touting. We mentioned last week that the industry was scratching their heads wondering how to take advantage of the extra space. In fact, I can see it now: everyone in a circle around the darn disc, seeing a reflection of themselves. "Hey! What if we had an audio commentary from the caterer for the movie?"

Turns out that there's no rush to determine what super-duper bonus features we need on a Blu-Ray disc. The 50 gigabyte flavor won't even be available until the second half of 2006 which gives the industry's Jedi Council a few more months to see through the shroud of the Dark Side while staring at the blank disc. Hmm...meditate on this we will...
