Amp'd to offer up 99 cent music downloads at launch

What's that you say? $2.50 per song download just isn't working for you, eh? For some reason it's just not floating our boat either, so that's why we're glad to hear that

Amp'd
is jumping into the market with the tried and true 99 cent price scheme, including those snazzy dual downloads — phone and computer — that Sprint was so hyped about. They're only offering up 200,000 songs, and apparently they scored the same raw deal with the labels for song royalties that Sprint got, which is to say, a $1.25 per purchase is going to the suits. Meaning either Amp'd is hoping to make it all back in wireless data costs, which is unlikely for an MVNO, or this deal, which launches with the carrier on December 15th, won't be around for long.
