It won't be a Gizmondo Christmas, say Virgin

The UK music and entertainment chain Virgin Megastores made a shock announcement yesterday when they predicted that the
Gizmondo would be a top-selling console this Christmas. Their list ran: Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Game Boy Micro, Gizmondo. By omission, this implies that the Gizmondo is currently outselling the PS2 and Xbox, despite only having sold 5000 units in the three months following its launch.

Fortunately, today Virgin have seen sense and announced that the "Big Three" (i.e. everyone else) will outsell the Gizmondo this Christmas, after all. Seems like it's the season for
redundant announcements after all—the Rule of Three says we'll see something even more obvious announced tomorrow.
