Homes, gardens and food in HDTV

We have to wait a few months yet, but we've got some new high-def programming to look forward to in 2006. Scripps Networks
is gearing up for HGTV in HDTV during the first quarter of the new year. Scripps will follow up that little home party with an HD version of The Food Network during the second quarter. I feel like I need to clean my house and start baking cookies...

I expect to see many more announcements like this
during 2006. Plummeting prices on HDTV sets and wider consumer adoption of the technology will push programmers across the high-def divide.
I've watched some cooking segments of Good Morning America recently and high-def really does add more flavor to the show. Seriously, it's as if you can count every speck of spice and seasoning. Sign me up for both of these new high-def offerings once they hit the airwaves!
