Gigabyte unleashes the Happy Barbie, g-Cam, and g-Smart cellphones
Gigabyte just announced three new phones: the Happy Barbie, g-Cam, and g-Smart. The Happy Barbie appears aimed squarely at the Hello Kitty-lovin' market and features an MP3 player and just what every little girl desires: a fat calculator and food meter. Geez, but hey the Fish-o-Babel also says the phone is "the happy banana plant compared to the is beautiful eyebrow" so pretty much anything goes, eh? Things seem a bit more straightforward with the other two: the g-Cam goes tri-band GSM/GPRS and includes a 5 megapixel shooter, miniSD expansion, and music and video playback while the Windows Mobile 5.0 g-Smart also goes tri-band GSM/GPRS and throws down a TV tuner, WiFi, miniSD, 2.1 megapixel camera, and music and vid playback on that 2.4-inch 240 x 320 pixel 26k color screen — just like we saw on that slide back in April. All three will be available this month somewhere far away from these United States. More pics after the break.
