Resources for beginning priests

Priests... they're just healers, right?

Wrong! Priests can deal a surprising amount of damage, when they have to. Shadow priests are especially good at hurting people. However, priests are most in demand as healers, and as such can be a very social class to play. Here's some useful stuff if you're rolling a priest, or thinking about doing so:

• Whispre's Priest Guide is both popular and helpful, helping with a class overview, a talent build for levelling quickly and even an Excel spreadsheet filled with spell data.
• WoWHealers.com has a variety of information for healing classes, including information on the priest epic quest (not exactly a newbie resource, of course!)
• Stratics has a full walkthrough for newbie Undead priests, if you fancy the darker side of life.
• A full listing of each level of each spell and its effect is useful from day one.
• Gamespot have a bit of information on PvE and PvP techniques for priests.
• Finally, the official forums have both an "official" and an "unofficial" FAQ. The official FAQ starts things off with useful questions like "Should I go for Shadow or Holy" and "Which race is best?" — essential reading.

A priest is the newest addition to my harem of alts, rolled because the guild wanted one (if I had a penny for every time...) and I'm actually finding it quite fun, at beginning levels at least. When I teamed up with a rogue and watched him inflict ridiculously high DPS, I couldn't help but be jealous, and Fade is possibly the most ineffective spell ever. Still, I'm thinking of the future, when I'll be main healer and get first dibs on all the nice cloth drops...
