A Katamari side scroller

In the latest release of screenshots for Me & My Katamari, Namco showed off some images that are bizarre even for the Katamari franchise: a side scrolling element. Pictured is a very retro-fitted Prince of All Cosmos rolling his Katamari across the screen towards an unsuspecting (lackadaisical? suicidal?) human. No idea why a life counter is present, probably just a visual gag to give the minigame even more of a NES-vibe to it. Japanese gamers should be in for quite a treat at the end of the month.
