Apple tops e-tailer growth list

Website traffic stats released by comScore today show that Apple enjoyed the highest growth in traffic among the web's top 20 retail sites. Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney attributes most of that growth to itunes.com, driven by music downloads and downloads of the iTunes application.

iTunes wasn't the only attraction at Apple's site. Mahaney also notes that the total number of unique visitors to apple.com doubled since last November. It's all hot at Apple these days.
