X-Men 3 game to feature 3 playable characters

Licensed games may not always leave a good taste in gamers'
mouths, but you can bet that most action blockbusters'll have games made that are based on them. Next May's
X-Men 3 is no exception.

The most recent issue of Game Informer has spilled the beans on the latest interactive incarnation of the Marvel mutant franchise, which "will feature Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Iceman as playable characters." Veteran
X-Men scribe Chris Claremont co-wrote the game's script, which will explore "lots of additional stuff" not found in the movie. We don't know where the various handheld gaming systems fall into the current-gen list, but versions for "the PC and the Xbox 360 which will get some graphical upgrades including improved character models."

As Alan Cumming was not signed on to reprise his role as Nightcrawler from X2 in next year's sequel, we wonder whether the developers at Z-Axis will adopt a sound-alike to assume the character's voiceovers in the latest game adaptation, or if they'll grab
whoever voiced our favorite Bamf-er in the X-Men Legends series of the last few years. Whoever carries on the disappearing (and reappearing) mantle, solid voice acting's always a good thing to have. We fully expect Sideshow Bob to do his part elocuting admirably as always.
