Be prepared for the Hitachi domination

Oh, these silly plasma makers and their quest for global domination. Samsung currently makes the most PDPs, but not for long if LG gets their way. Now Hitachi plans on having 43% of the Japanese market and 20% of the world market by 2008. But not any time in 2008. No. This is going to happen in April of 2008.

For a long time Panasonic was the gem in many peoples eyes, but recently, Hitachi has been  making the transition from top-of-the-line projection to top-of-the-line plasmas. They are going to bump up production of their sets with a full capacity of 330,000 units a month by opening plants in Eastern Europe.

If none of this industry talk interested you, let me break it down for you. This is going to start a price war. Every manufacturer is gearing up to dominate the market but there can only be a limited number of winners.
I'll tell you though, us consumers are going to be one of 'em.
