Dec. 22: What's on HDTV today

What we're watching: We officially have a three-peat on our hands. That's right this is the third night in a row where the major networks have nothing new to offer us. In fact, UPN has run old episodes of "Everybody Hates Chris" every night this week! I
think we need to start a fresh, new HD show called "Everybody Hates Repeats." As a result of the same-old,
same-old, we'll tune in to a cable or satellite channel.

TNT-HD appears to have an NBA doubleheader starting at 8 p.m. in 1080i. The first tip takes us to the Windy City where the Cavs take on the Bulls. The home team has won the last six times these two teams have met. Will Chicago keep the streak alive?
Tip-off number two brings us out west where the Dallas travels to Sacramento. The Mavs have beat the Kings in seven of the last nine meetings; sounds like the Kings need to give the mighty Mavs a royal whooping to avoid going two and eight!

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
Here are some other HDTV programs showing on selected networks today. All times are Eastern and reruns are in
italics:
