Namco, Bandai now officially one entity in North America

The merging is complete: in North America, Namco and Bandai have ceased to be two separate companies.Their stateside title will now be Namco Bandai Games America Inc. – not the catchiest of names, but who needs a clever moniker when you own the rights to both Pac-Man and Tamagotchi?

According to the press release, as of January 2nd, Namco Bandai Holdings (USA)
Inc. owns Namco Bandai Games America Inc., Namco America Inc. (arcade machines), Namco Networks America Inc. (mobile games), among others. The official logo will continue to be the Frito Lay-esque logo pictured right.
